Blaise D’Sylva joined Dr Pepper Snapple Group this fall as vice president, media and content planning. He is responsible for directing the national and local media planning functions across the entire portfolio of brands including Dr Pepper, Snapple, 7UP and Mott’s. A key part of this includes the college football media and sponsorships with ESPN, CBS and FOX Sports. He has a solid marketing background of more than 25 years, most recently at Anheuser-Busch InBev in St. Louis where as vice president of media, sports and entertainment marketing, he directed an in-house team of over 90 people responsible for all media, sports sponsorships and entertainment marketing for Bud Light, Budweiser, Michelob Ultra, and other key brands. Prior to that, he was at ESPN for six years, where he was senior director, sales manager based in Chicago. His sales teams were responsible for selling the multimedia assets of ESPN to clients and agencies in the Midwest. Before joining ESPN, Mr. D’Sylva was the director of media integration at Allstate Insurance Company. Prior to that, he worked at Starcom MediaVest Group, where he held various positions ranging from vice president, media director to senior vice president and chief executive, Northeast Asia. He began his career at Leo Burnett Worldwide, where his assignments varied from media planner and buyer to posts as the agency's international media director. He holds a bachelor's degree in communications and advertising from Washington State University, and a master's degree in communications and advertising from the University of Illinois.
