Antonio Escalona is the SVP and general manager of the recently formed Hispanic business unit for PepsiCo Foods North America, where he’s responsible for an end-to-end focus from supply chain to innovation, marketing, and sales of brands such as Gamesa and Sabritas. As part of his mission, Mr. Escalona also seeks to contribute to strengthen PepsiCo’s reputation as an employer and community member with Hispanics through a purpose-driven agenda.
Previously, Mr. Escalona was the SVP of sales for PepsiCo Mexico Foods. He joined PepsiCo in a finance function and has since held multiple roles, including general manager in Venezuela and the South Andean business unit, CFO for the Andean business unit, senior director of planning for Latin American foods, senior director of corporate treasury for Asia Pacific, and senior associate of corporate strategy and development. Mr. Escalona started his career as a finance analyst at Centrobeco before joining EY as a senior consultant.
Mr. Escalona holds a bachelor’s in accounting from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut, and an Advanced Management Program certificate from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
