Russ is currently the Sr. Executive Director and Operating Partner at H.I.G. Capital, a leading international Private Equity firm. Prior to that he was Global Chief Marketing Officer of international specialist insurer Hiscox. Before Hiscox, he was the CMO of Major League Soccer, and a marketing executive for PepsiCo, where he launched the Sierra Mist and Pepsi Max brands. Mr. Findlay started his career at Unilever where he was their global expert in e-commerce prior to roles in brand management.
He is an award winning marketer having won EFFIE’s, ACE Awards, and Financial Communications Society Awards, among others. Mr. Findlay has been named one of the most influential marketers in the world by The Internationalist. In 2018, Findlay and his team won Marketer of the Year from one of the most hotly contested business marketing awards competition.
Mr. Findlay volunteers his time giving back to the marketing community. He is on the following Boards: Board of Directors of the Association of National Advertisers, member of the National Advertising Review Board, the group which acts as the arbiter for companies disputing competitors’ advertising; and Board of the Business Marketing Association of New York.
Mr. Findlay is a sought-after speaker on the topics of marketing, advertising and branding. He has lectured at Harvard Business School, the Wharton School of Business, the Kellogg School of Business and Yale School of Business, among others.
Outside of work, Mr. Findlay owns a real estate development firm, runs his family’s 501c-3 nonprofit foundation which provides college scholarships to underprivileged students and is a maple syrup producer.
