In 2012, Olivier Francois was named “Grand Brand Genius” by Adweek magazine in recognition of the top marketers from 10 “Brand Genius” winners. Advertising Age magazine in 2012 also named Chrysler Group the “Marketer of the Year” for a series of advertising campaigns that resonated across America and lifted sales.
Mr. Francois joined Fiat in 2005 as lead executive for the Lancia Brand, Fiat Group Automobiles. By 2009 he was appointed president and chief executive officer of Chrysler Brand, Chrysler Group. He was also the lead Chrysler Group executive for marketing for the Chrysler and Fiat Group Automobile brands, responsibilities he retains. In 2011, he became head of Fiat Brand and CMO for Fiat S.p.A. Mr. Francois serves on the Group Executive Council (GEC), the highest executive decision-making body within Fiat, outside of its board of directors. Prior to joining Fiat, Mr. Francois worked for more than 10 years for Citroen.
He holds a degree in economy, finance, and marketing from Dauphine University and a diploma from the Institute des Sciences Politiques of Paris.
