Christopher Garber

Chris Garber leads the marketing and IP legal team at Nationwide, supporting the company’s marketing community with expertise in advertising, marketing, and social media law; sports marketing; advertising agency contracts; sweepstakes and contests; celebrity and other talent issues; and influencer marketing. The team also protects the Nationwide brand through trademark, copyright, patent, and trade secret law.
Previously, Mr. Garber practiced at a mid-sized firm in San Diego, where he had a broad corporate and civil litigation practice, including first chair trial experience. He’s also the co-author of The Big 50: Cincinnati Reds, a baseball history book.
Mr. Garber graduated from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and from the William & Mary Law School.
