Lynn Godfrey
Chief Brand Marketing and Communications Officer / Girl Scouts USA

Lynn Godfrey is the Chief Brand Marketing and Communications Officer for the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) – the largest girls’ leadership organization in the world.  Leading an award winning, multidisciplinary team, Lynn oversees brand, digital, and content marketing; public relations, corporate and crises communications, creative and editorial development, and national events and experiential marketing. She is responsible for stewarding the brand across national GSUSA and 111 local Girl Scout Councils to align with the mission, drive membership, development and revenue growth, and build engagement with key audiences.  Prior to her current role, Lynn served as GSUSA’s Chief Strategy Officer, overseeing the development of the Girl Scouts National-local three-year strategy in 2015.

A Girl Scout alum and seasoned executive with more than 20 years of non - profit, public and corporate experience, Lynn came to GSUSA from the Red Cross of Greater New York where she oversaw strategic marketing, communications and community relations.  Prior to that Lynn led marketing and media relations in collaboration with the NYC Mayor’s office and city agencies for the New York City Housing Authority serving 600K low-income families.  She has held various marketing leadership positions at American Express, Viacom, Nickelodeon, and PBS Kids, and started her career in advertising at Young and Rubicam.  Lynn holds a Master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University.  Recently named one of New York’s 30 Most Influential Women in Marketing, Lynn resides in New Rochelle, NY with her family and pup Lola.
