Cheryl Guerin is Executive Vice President/Group Executive, U.S. Marketing. In this role she is responsible for U.S. Marketing strategies and programs that drive greater preference for MasterCard's brand, products and services across B2B and B2C audiences. She is also responsible for our U.S. media investment strategy, directing the brand’s award-winning Priceless advertising campaign, sponsorships and digital activity to drive greater connection with consumers. In addition, she manages the Issuer and Merchant Marketing groups designed to bring greater partnership and value through marketing support for these key stakeholders.
Ms. Guerin joined MasterCard in 2000 and has held positions in Promotions and Digital, with a heavy focus on cross-functional integration, issuer value and merchant support. Key achievements include setting best practices against these disciplines globally and continued industry accolades. Recognition includes: 2012 Effie, Internationalist Award, Canne Media Lion and Gold Midas for the Priceless Cities/NY Marketing program, Best Payments Advertising, 2011 for the Stand Up 2 Cancer campaign; 2010 Grand Midas Best Financial Services Marketing campaign globally for Priceless Gift Finder with Amazon; Gold and Silver Mobi Awards for ATM Hunter and Priceless Picks mobile applications; Cards & Payments Best Integrated Marketing campaigns for 2007 and 2008 promotional programs, Best Marketing Innovation 2007 for the Write Your Own Priceless ad campaign.
Prior to MasterCard, Ms. Guerin held several account service positions at advertising agencies such as Bates Worldwide and Bozell – managing campaigns and product launches for clients such as Avis, American Home Products, Best Foods, KLM Airlines, NatWest Bank and Samsung.
Ms. Guerin is an active Member of the ANA (Association of National Advertisers) and IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau). Cheryl was named to Brand Innovators 2013 Top 50 Women in Brand Marketing, the 2012 Internationalist Top 100 Global Marketing Leaders, was a 2011 CEO Award Winner for leading the launch of the Priceless Cities, and was recognized among Westchester’s ‘40 under 40’ rising stars in business by the Business Council of Westchester in 2010.
Ms. Guerin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business and lives in Westchester, NY with her husband and two boys.
