Başak Gürbüz is a senior associate specializing in intellectual property (IP), advertisement and media law and IT law and is a member of the IP and regulatory department as well as the advertisement and media practice group of the firm. Her practice concentrates on advertising, marketing and media law, trademark, copyright, information technology (IT), unfair competition, domain names, broadcasting laws and consumer laws.
Within the IP law she has acted and has been acting as counsellor and litigator on numerous projects/court actions involving trademarks, copyrights, domain names, broadcasting principles, unfair competition, advertising and media law and consumer law.
Within advertisement, media and consumer law, she has advised various national and multinational companies in relation to trademarks, copyright, broadcasting, advertisement, marketing and sweepstakes issues, data protection, internet law, packaging, labelling, direct selling issues and has defended clients before the relevant official bodies such as Advertisement Board, Supreme Council of Radio and Television and the ministries.
Miss Gürbüz regularly writes articles and updates for IBA, GALA, World Media Law Reports, Mondaq and Entertainment Law Review in order to share and enhance her expertise on these matters.
