Hande Hançer has been working with Gün + Partners in Istanbul, Turkey since 2005. She is currently working as a partner in the intellectual property practice and as co-head of the TMT industry practice. Hande has been a member of the Istanbul Bar Association since 2007. She works within different specialized practice groups, mainly the trademark, design and copyright litigation group as well as the advertisement, media and consumer protection group. She has been involved in numerous projects in all fields of IP. Hande’s involvement includes both contentious and non-contentious matters in relation to trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs, domain names and unfair competition. She has extensive litigation experience and has consulted with various foreign clients regarding their IP strategies, legal disputes, licensing and settlement agreements. Hande advises on all aspects of advertising and media law (including clearance of advertisements, contracts, promotions and sweepstakes) to various local and multinational companies primarily in the food and beverage, technology, media, telecom and entertainment sectors.
