Alex is responsible for American Greetings marketing vision and strategy. Since 2012, he has been pivoting the company’s approach to marketing and developing capabilities for the future.
Previously, Alex led consumer marketing for Progressive Insurance direct business. He joined their Internet startup team and established the online auto insurance channel in the 2000s, managing brand and advertising development and scaling up a profitable digital media capability to make Progressive one of the top 10 U.S. digital advertisers. He got his start in brand management at Procter & Gamble and SC Johnson.
A native of Northeast Ohio, Alex has a chemical engineering degree from Case Western Reserve University and MBA from the University of Michigan.
