Martha Holler is senior vice president, communications and community, for Sallie Mae. In this role, she oversees the strategy and execution for the corporate communications, internal communications, government relations, and corporate social responsibility functions, including the charitable arm of Sallie Mae, The Sallie Mae Fund. Martha and her team manage the company’s image and reputation primarily through owned and earned media, including the company’s blog, and she serves as lead spokeswoman. Over the course of her career, Martha has contributed to various phases of the brand’s evolution, including privatization, acquisitions, and most recently, its reverse spin separation transaction. Martha graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Literature and Mathematics. She studied at the Sorbonne in Paris during her junior year and holds an MBA in finance and marketing from George Mason University.
