Shaka Johnson is currently an associate general counsel at Oculus VR, LLC. At Oculus, he heads the global sales and marketing legal team, covering retail and e-commerce, marketing, enterprise, customer support and other consumer facing matters. Immediately prior to Oculus, Mr. Johnson was with Sony Electronics, where he worked on a variety of corporate, sales, post-sales and e-commerce related matters. Prior to that, he spent time at Sanyo North America Corporation, Gateway, Inc., and Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP. It's not all about work, though. Shaka has always valued community service and involvement, and—in addition to a variety of programs—he chaired the Sony Electronics pro bono committee for over two years. He is a member of the State Bar of California and was named one of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s “Top 10 30-Somethings” in 2014. Shaka loves playing and talking sports, but also has a wife and two daughters, so family is his main hobby these days.
