Susan Karlen is the Sr. Manager of Partnership Development for Share Our Strength, the organization behind the No Kid Hungry campaign. She identifies, recruits and cultivates new corporate relationships in the restaurant industry to support Dine for No Kid Hungry, a year-round, restaurant-led campaign to raise the critical funds and awareness that No Kid Hungry needs to feed children across the United States.
Susan’s relationship with Share Our Strength began in 2008, when Corner Bakery Cafe joined Dine for No Kid Hungry as a partner in the fight to end childhood hunger. As the Sr. Director of Marketing for Corner Bakery Cafe, Susan led the partnership with No Kid Hungry for seven years. Three years ago, Susan transitioned from the restaurant industry to join the Share Our Strength team. She continues to utilize her 25 years of restaurant marketing experience to work closely with restaurant executives and align strategies that support No Kid Hungry while also driving their brands’ business objectives.
Dine for No Kid Hungry is uniting the restaurant industry, bringing together thousands of restaurants and millions of consumers to end childhood hunger in America. They have raised more than $75 million since the launch of Dine for No Kid Hungry in 2008.
