Brian King has overall responsibility for brand positioning, long-range strategy, marketing communications, and product development for a diverse portfolio of more than 3,000 hotels carrying the Marriott name worldwide. Among his accomplishments, Mr. King led the global repositioning of Courtyard by Marriott, the creation and launch of MOXY HOTELS, and, expected to debut in 2014 in the U.S., the launch of AC Hotels by Marriott.
Mr. King joined Marriott in 1993 and has held positions in hotel and regional operations, brand management, reservations, and revenue management. Previously, he led operations management for the Six Flags Corp. and held various positions with Allen & O’Hara, LLC’s hospitality management division.
Mr. King has a B.A. in marketing communications from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wis., and has completed executive education at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the School of Hotel Management at Cornell University. He is an industry speaker, panelist, and contributor to publications including USA Today, The New York Times, and Time magazine.
