Josh Kroo joined Crayola in 2015 and is currently the VP of marketing communications. A passionate marketer, innovator and creative business manager, he has been growing brands in a variety of roles over the last 10 years. Mr. Kroo spent his first several years out of McGill University running his own company before attending the University of Maryland to get his Master of Business Administration. Josh then headed to Kraft Foods as an associate brand manager. Over the next five years, he honed his brand marketing and sales skills working across Kraft’s beverage brands. Later, during his tenure at Dannon as senior brand manager of Danimals, Mr. Kroo led that brand to two years of double-digit growth. When Crayola came calling, Josh couldn’t turn down the opportunity to inject new energy into one of the world’s iconic brands. Running the marketing communications department, he has the freedom to explore breakthrough marketing strategies and creative designed to reach new moms and kids. Josh has led the relaunch of Color Wonder, developed and launched Crayola’s animated characters for the first time in its 100-year history, and also led Crayola’s biggest promotional campaign: retiring Dandelion and launching the new Crayola Blue.
