Jim Lyski is an EVP and the CMO of CarMax, where he’s responsible for leading the marketing and product organizations and innovating new ways to deliver an exceptional experience to both customers and associates. He leads all aspects of the company’s strategy, marketing, branding, data analytics, product management, and business development, and oversees Edmunds, which CarMax acquired in 2021.
Previously, Mr. Lyski served as the CMO for The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, accountable for all marketing and product innovations, and as the CMO for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, where he led the digital transformation to online insurance products.
Mr. Lyski received his M.B.A. in marketing and a B.S. in journalism and advertising from the University of Oregon.
