Melinda McLellan is a partner in the New York office of BakerHostetler, where she advises clients on complex privacy, cybersecurity and information management matters as a member of the firm’s Chambers-ranked national privacy and data protection team. Ms. McLellan works with clients to navigate cross-border data transfer issues and has led a wide variety of enterprise-wide foreign privacy law compliance projects, including dozens involving the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation. For the past decade, Melinda has counseled companies across all industry sectors on the creation and implementation of global privacy and security policies and procedures, as well as employee data protection training programs. She specializes in developing innovative compliance strategies for the use of emerging technologies and data-intensive products and services. Ms. McLellan is a 2005 graduate of Harvard Law School, where she served as executive editor of the Harvard International Law Journal, and she is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (certified CIPP/US and CIPP/E).
