Kwame Onwuachi is a James Beard Award-winning chef, author of the memoir Notes from a Young Black Chef and the recently released cookbook My America: Recipes from a Young Black Chef, and serves as an executive producer for Food & Wine, where he collaborates on big brand moments and events.
Previously in his career, Mr. Onwuachi toiled in the bowels of oil cleanup ships and worked at some of the best restaurants in the world. He trained at the Culinary Institute of America and has opened five restaurants, including Afro-Caribbean restaurant Kith/Kin in Washington, D.C.
