Greg is Chief Business Officer at Automat. He got his start with large-scale, cloud-based conversational systems at Tellme Networks. Across a range of product, marketing, and strategic planning roles, Greg helped grow Tellme to over $100M in revenue. Tellme was subsequently acquired by Microsoft for (a rumored) $800M and parts of Tellme’s technology later became part of Cortana. After two adventures in cleantech at LS9 (acquired by REG) and Opower (went public and was later acquired by Oracle), Greg returned to conversational systems to lead marketing, strategy, and business development for a division at Nuance where he led a strategic shift toward cloud- and AI-based solutions. Greg has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Greg is a Tough Mudder and Spartan Race competitor who is both proud and slightly embarrassed that his teenage sons regularly beat him.
