Ken Patel currently serves as Vice President & General Counsel for Procter & Gamble’s business units where he leads a commercial law group of 58 attorneys located globally. Ken advises senior P&G management on all aspects of product-related law including advertising, product liability, intellectual property, regulatory, safety and quality, brand acquisitions/divestitures and business-related litigation. He also serves as legal counsel to P&G’s Innovation & Technology Board Committee. Ken previously had assignments as a patent attorney and commercial attorney in a variety of P&G businesses, including an assignment in Japan leading P&G’s Asia legal practice for IP. He joined P&G in 1993 and previously worked for Dinsmore & Shohl as an IP attorney, and served as Adjunct Professor of Law for the University of Cincinnati Law School from where he received his law degree in 1990. He also received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University in 1986.
