Julie Rubash is an associate in the entertainment and digital media practice group in Sheppard Mullin’s Century City, California office. She is the lead associate of the firm’s advertising industry team. Ms. Rubash focuses her practice on all aspects of transactional advertising, technology and media law, with an emphasis on emerging media platforms. Her diverse experience includes representation of ad agencies, ad techs, major brands, content creators, media/tech platforms and data licensors in transactions that include agency services, data collection, sharing and analytics, content licensing and more. Julie also works with clients on a variety of legal and regulatory compliance issues related to marketing, advertising and privacy, including in connection with mobile and email marketing, influencer and native advertising, data collection and interest-based advertising, sweepstakes, contests and promotions, print, broadcast and digital campaigns, charitable commercial co-ventures, and loyalty and rewards programs. In addition, Ms. Rubash assists clients in assessing legal risk and designing compliant privacy policies and terms of use for websites, mobile applications, and emerging marketing platforms and strategies. Julie received her law degree from DePaul University School of Law, where she also received her master’s degree in computer science and technology. She is a member of the California and Illinois state bars.
