Dave Schoonover currently serves as national manager, customer relationship management and digital marketing; he joined Kia Motors in 2006. Mr. Schoonover has more than 18 years of automotive experience, ranging from digital marketing to field sales. His responsibilities include strategy, social marketing, mobile, media buying, marketing technology, web development, lead management, database and customer relationship management. Under his leadership, Kia has developed a wide range of successful programs in alternative media, from sponsorship of the YouTube Music Awards to the user-generated "In Your Mind" campaign, to the first augmented reality game on Facebook. He is behind a number of branded web series, one of which featured the infamous Kia hamsters, Moochie and DJ Dan. Prior to Kia, Mr. Schoonover served as interactive marketing manager at Nissan North America, where he built and implemented strategies for internet sales. His background in business analytics further extends to a stint at Ford Motor Company as a consumer affairs analyst. He currently serves on the Google client advisory council, the Cars.com advisory board, and he is co-chair of The Digital Collective, a group representing the heads of digital marketing for major brands.
