Joseph A. Sena, Jr. is Marketing Counsel at the Campbell Soup Company, where he advises the Snacks and Simple Meals & Beverages divisions on marketing, advertising and promotions law issues and serves as Legal partner to Campbell’s privacy and data security programs. Joe also leads Campbell’s legal review of child-directed marketing materials and activation for compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), jurisdiction-based self-regulatory pledges, and corporate standards across iconic brands like Goldfish® crackers, Campbell’s® kids’ soups and SpaghettiOs pastas. Joe represents Campbell on the Supporters’ Council of the Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) and the Strategy Committee of the Children’s Food & Beverage Advertising Initiative (CFBAI) in the U.S. and abroad on Canada’s Children’s Advertising Initiative (CAI) and the global Marketing to Kids Health and Wellness Subcommittee of the Consumer Goods Forum. Joe is also an Executive Committee member of the Campbell Soup Foundation and a Commissioner of his local Parks & Recreation Board. Before joining Campbell’s Legal Department, Joe was associated with Davis & Gilbert LLP’s Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Practice Group in New York City, advising major agencies, advertisers and media companies on a variety of marketing communications related legal issues. Joe attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School as a James Wilson Scholar and graduated, with honors, from Harvard College.
