Speaker Profile

Jimmy Smith
Chairman, CEO and Chief Creative Officer / Amusement Park Entertainment

Many people know how influential advertising greats have been in the career of Jimmy Smith. However, what many people do not know is that if it were not for Dick York and David White, Mr. Smith might never have considered a career in advertising. On the TV show Bewitched, York played creative director Darrin Stephens and White played Larry Tate, an account executive. Not only did the show introduce Mr. Smith to advertising, it unintentionally planted the seed of the idea of branded entertainment. Mr. Smith’s work has been recognized for its fresh advertising approaches (One Show, Cannes, D&AD, ANDY, Clio, TIME), its authenticity in video games (EA Sports’ NBA Street), its originality (Emmy nomination for Gatorade Replay), and its beauty (Stiftung Buchkunst International Book Art Competition, Copenhagen Museum of Applied Arts for Soul of the Game).
