Andrew Springate is chief marketing officer for Dr Pepper Snapple Group (NYSE: DPS). In this role, he leads the brand management, activation, travel/event services, sponsorships, and media and entertainment functions for a company with more than 50 beverage brands and nearly $6.5 billion in annual sales. Mr. Springate has held numerous roles in marketing, brand management and sales over the course of more than 20 years in the packaged food and beverage industries. Prior to his 2017 promotion to CMO, he served for three years as senior vice president of sales and general manager within DPS’s beverage concentrates business. Andrew joined DPS (then part of Cadbury Schweppes) in 2000 as director of marketing and worked his way up through numerous leadership roles in brand marketing and innovation, becoming senior vice president of marketing in 2008 and senior vice president of marketing, innovation and strategic planning four years later. He began his career as a district sales manager for Frito-Lay before taking a role at The Coca-Cola Company as brand manager for Sprite. Andrew received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
