Kathy Stokes
Director, Fraud Prevention Programs / AARP

Kathy Stokes is the director of fraud prevention programs for AARP, where she leads the group’s social mission work to educate older adults on the risk that fraud represents to their financial security.  
 
Previously, Ms. Stokes was the executive director for the American Savings Education Council, a program of the Employee Benefit Research Institute. She also worked for Ernst & Young and the Brookings Institution’s Retirement Security Project before leading her own communication consulting business.  
 
Ms. Stokes has a master’s degree in American government from Johns Hopkins University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in rhetoric and communication.
