Rory Sutherland is the vice chairman of Ogilvy, where he has co-founded a behavioral science practice, Ogilvy Change, that looks for unseen opportunities in consumer behavior.

Previously at Ogilvy, Mr. Sutherland was a copywriter and creative director. He has been president of the IPA, chair of the judges for the direct jury at Cannes, and has spoken at TED Global. Mr. Sutherland writes regular columns for The Spectator, Market Leader, and Impact, as well as occasional pieces for Wired, and has authored two books: The Wiki Man and Alchemy: The Surprising Power of Ideas That Don't Make Sense.
