Karen Talavera is President and Founder of Synchronicity Marketing where she is an industry-leading digital marketing expert, strategist, consultant, sought-after speaker and professional educator with 20 years' experience in data-driven marketing.
For over a decade Karen has been actively involved in shaping the email marketing industry as first a member, then board member, of the Email Experience Council (now part of the Association of National Advertisers - ANA). She is also a member of Women of Email and Only Influencers.
Karen sits on the advisory boards of marketing data insight company Yeti Data and nonprofit Cause for Awareness. She has served on the board of the Florida Direct Marketing Association (FDMA) and has been involved in the South Florida Interactive Marketing Association (SFIMA) as well.
Beginning in 2000, Karen pioneered email marketing professional education for the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and today boasts nearly 20 years teaching and training for leading associations such as the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), eConsultancy and MarketingProfs as well as private clients. In addition, Karen is a frequent conference speaker, event keynoter and guest blogger. Her unique depth of digital expertise paired with her finely honed direct response mindset has contributed to program strategy and performance improvements for thousands of marketers across brands in financial services, travel, entertainment, B2B, retail and software including Google, Disney Consumer Products, NASCAR, City National Bank, Foremost Insurance, LVMH Brands, Amway and many more.
Karen holds a BA in Communication from the University of Michigan. In her spare time, she enjoys pursuing one of her many passions including fitness, yoga and meditation, international travel, hiking and skiing.
