James D. Taylor’s principal practice areas include advertising, promotions and privacy for advertisers, advertising and promotion agencies, and entertainment, media, internet and mobile clients. Mr. Taylor counsels clients on their integrated marketing initiatives, agency services agreements, sponsorships and brand integration agreements, vendor and strategic partnership contracts, talent and music agreements, guild issues, social media initiatives, privacy issues including behavioral targeted marketing and data protection policies, software and technology licenses, intellectual property counseling, copy review, and sweepstakes and other promotional offers. He has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America and The Legal 500 U.S., in addition to receiving the highest ranking in national advertising from Chambers USA (2011-2018). Mr. Taylor is a frequent speaker at industry events, as well as a member of the Promotion Marketing Association’s government and legal affairs committee. James received a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School.
