Since 2012, Brian Terkelsen has led MediaVest to $1.5 billion in new business and organic billings, including significant growth in digital with clients like American Honda Motor Company, Mondelēz, Tri-State Honda, and Traveler’s Insurance.
Previously, Mr. Terkelsen served as global president of LiquidThread, SMG’s digitally led content creation unit. His work won SMG a 2012 Cannes Gold Lion in Branded Entertainment, for LiquidThread’s work with Kraft Wheat Thins and The Colbert Report.
During his tenure, LiquidThread delivered award-winning programs, including CoverGirl’s involvement in America’s Next Top Model, the M&M’s characters’ roles in Entertainment Tonight, new shows such as Blush: The Search for the Next Great Makeup Artist with Max Factor, and The Thread star style and celebrity trends webisodes.
He was named Advertising Age’s “Media Maven” in 2008 and an Adweek Media “All Star” honor in 2011.
Mr. Terkelsen joined SMG in 2003 to build its branded content practice, which evolved into LiquidThread in 2010 and grew fivefold. He was also instrumental in SMG’s BermanBraun content deal that provides the agency with first looks for new sites, formats, and ideas.
In 1992 Mr. Terkelsen cofounded Eco-Challenge Lifestyles, Inc and served as group general manager for Quokka Sports.
