Rachel Vaughn is senior counsel of payments and emerging markets at Google, where she serves as the Google Pay privacy focal point.

Previously at Google, Ms. Vaughn helped develop new form factor devices as lawyer for the Daydream AR/VR business. Before joining the company, she was a licensing attorney in the OEM business and a product attorney supporting a variety of hardware projects for Microsoft, including Microsoft HoloLens, Microsoft Health, and the Microsoft Band. She also spent time working abroad in the Netherlands as a lawyer for the Shell IP department.

Ms. Vaughn studied mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan and attended law school at University of Houston while working as a patent agent for Shell Oil Company.
