Kirsten Ward is a senior director of marketing in the interactive entertainment division at Microsoft. Ms. Ward oversees global customer acquisition and engagement for Xbox through digital and direct marketing channels including Xbox.com, social channels, digital media, search and email. Since joining Microsoft in 2001, she has held a variety of advertising, marketing and product management roles in the interactive entertainment, online services, and server and tools divisions. Her marketing experience spans advertising, media, digital marketing, direct marketing and product management. Prior to Microsoft, she held product management and management consulting positions in the Pacific Northwest. Ms. Ward was a member of the core leadership team responsible for the launch of the Bing brand in 2009 and has led or contributed to multiple award-winning campaign initiatives for Xbox and Bing. Honors achieved include the 2012 OMMA Award for Online Advertising Creativity; 2011 Cannes Titanium Lion Award; 2010 ARF David Ogilvy Award for Excellence in Advertising Research; and Ad Age 2009 Best New Brand award. She graduated from the University of Washington with honors in economics.
