Erika Watson
National Director, Childhood Development, Education, and Equity / Easterseals

Erika L. Watson is the national director of childhood development, education, and equity for Easterseals, where she leads the Intersection Collective and its focus on impacting the lives of children of color with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families. She also leads the organization’s national diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility initiative, advancing inclusive recruiting and hiring practices to ensure Easterseals employees represent the communities it serves.

Previously, Ms. Watson worked for iMentor as the executive director of national partnerships, building partnerships and programs aimed at helping first generation high school graduates get to and through college. She also spent several years at Leadership for Educational Equity, served on the Equitable Nutrition in Schools advisory council to First Lady Michelle Obama, and founded not-for-profit Dress for Success.

Ms. Watson holds an M.B.A. from George Washington University and a B.S. from Howard University. She also recently completed the Cornell University Diversity and Inclusion certificate program.
