Larry Weinstein is a partner at Proskauer, where he co-heads the Intellectual Property Litigation Group and Advertising & Trademark Law practice. Larry is a distinguished trial lawyer and counselor. For nearly thirty years, he has litigated advertising disputes throughout the United States, including Lanham Act cases, consumer class actions and NAD and NARB proceedings, and counseled clients regarding product testing, consumer surveys and other aspects of advertising claim substantiation, as well as FDA and FTC regulatory compliance. His clients include major consumer products, medical device, pharmaceutical, food and beverage and apparel companies, as well as sports governing bodies, leagues and teams. Larry is one of only three U.S. lawyers top-ranked by Chambers USA for Advertising Litigation, and is a member of the Legal 500 Hall of Fame for sustained excellence in the field of advertising and marketing law. He is a frequent speaker on the subjects of advertising litigation and counseling, and a founder and editor of Proskauer’s advertising law blog, Watch This Space: Proskauer on Advertising. Larry also co-authored the U.S. edition of the Pharmaceutical Advertising Global Practice Guide 2018, published by Chambers and Partners. Larry earned B.A. and M.A. degrees from Johns Hopkins University, and his J.D. from N.Y.U. Law School, where he was Articles Editor of the Law Review and Order of the Coif.
