As a global practice leader at one of the world’s leading executive search and leadership consulting firms, Greg Welch manages Spencer Stuart’s worldwide team in consumer packaged goods, interactive marketing, hospitality and leisure, and retail.
He launched Spencer Stuart’s marketing officer practice in 2002, and he is also an active member of the board services and chief executive officer practice. Widely viewed as the top marketing recruiter in the industry, Mr. Welch had placed chief marketing officers at companies like Walmart, Target, Hershey, Cabela’s, Nike/Converse, Harley-Davidson, Citibank, ConAgra, Cigna, and AutoZone, to name a few.
Mr. Welch joined Spencer Stuart following a successful career in sales and marketing with Nabisco, Colgate-Palmolive, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Nestle. He recently co-authored the book Good for Business: The Rise of the Conscious Corporation. He is also the cofounder of the M50 marketing group and the creator of Spencer Stuart’s annual CMO Summit.
Mr. Welch holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University (IU) and also serves on the dean’s advisory council at the IU Kelley Business School.
