Telisa Yancy is responsible for growth, profit, and loss for American Family Insurance’s agency brand business. She leads the product, sales, and operations for the company’s flagship brand, which is sold through an exclusive independent agency force.
Previously, Ms. Yancy served as CMO for the company, leading communications and the customer and marketing teams. She joined American Family in 2009 as advertising director in the marketing division and was promoted to VP of marketing in 2013.
Prior to joining American Family, Ms. Yancy served in general management, sales, marketing, and operations leadership positions at Ford Motor Co. and Burger King. She has led consumer marketing, growth, and sales teams at the regional, national, and international levels.
In 2019, Ms. Yancy was named to Black Enterprise magazine’s listof Most Powerful Women in Corporate America for the second year in a row. In addition, she was named to Savoy’s Most Influential Women in Corporate America. In 2018, she was named to Black Enterprise magazine’s Top 50 Executives list, and in 2017, she was named to Ad Age’s prestigious Women to watch list.
Ms. Yancy is a graduate of the University of Illinois and earned an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Business. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Overture Center, Building Brave, and Moonrise Inc.
