Jonathan Zimmerman is a privacy attorney with AT&T in Washington, D.C., where he focuses on state and federal privacy matters, federal regulatory agency issues, and privacy policy. He graduated from Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School and served as law clerk to Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Following his clerkship, Mr. Zimmerman was a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Federal Programs Branch, where he focused on defending international financial sanctions programs and other national security matters. He then moved to the FTC’s Division of Privacy and Identity Protection, where he focused on policy matters and enforcement actions under Section 5 of the FTC Act before joining AT&T in 2014.
