Looking Ahead

2015 was a busy year for marketing. From technological developments that brought new opportunities for marketers and an increased focus on content to conversations around ad blocking and media rebates, it was clear that amid the successes are areas where improvement is needed.

Looking ahead to 2016, many predictions have already been made about the trends that will reign in the new year. Below are three areas we expect marketers to focus on — Generation Z, who already have about $44 billion in spending power; Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, which have an expected combined revenue of $150 billion; and Wearables, whose sales aren’t expected to peak in the U.S. until 2019.
