Advertisers Welcome New FCC Commissioners

August 3, 2017

Today, the Senate approved the nominations for Brendan Carr and Jessica Rosenworcel to fill the two vacant Commissioner seats at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Carr, a Republican, and Rosenworcel, a Democrat, will both bring many years of experience and expertise in telecommunications to the FCC regulatory arena and will serve as fair and thoughtful Commissioners.

We appreciate the Senate moving quickly to confirm these nominations so that the Commission can devote complete resources to the many important proceedings before the agency, including the reconsideration of the FCC’s Net Neutrality proposal.

ANA believes that as the digital marketplace continues to evolve and grow, the FCC will face additional critical privacy and internet governance issues. We look forward to working with the full slate of FCC Commissioners to advance and protect the advertising industry.
