Speaker:
Connie Pincus, Senior Business Manager – Johnson & Johnson

II. ANA AGENCY COMPENSATION FINDINGS (12:00 – 12:45PM)
Throughout this year, the ANA held regular webinars with advertising thought leaders to understand current approaches and theories surrounding agency compensation. At the culmination of the webinar series, the ANA put together their findings and recommendations on agency compensation.

Speaker:
Bill Duggan, Group Executive VP – ANA

NETWORKING LUNCH (12:45 – 1:45PM)

III. THE AGENCY COMPENSATION EQUALIZER (1:45 – 2:30 PM)
Good music is not determined by the volume control alone. The song, the instrumentation, the speakers, amplifier and EQ, all play a role in what sounds good to each individual listener. This same thought process holds true when reviewing agency compensation. What is best for one brand, in one region, on one project, may not be valuable for anyone else. Simply looking at hourly rates or overall cost, does not guarantee good value for money. In this session, Steven Wales from Decideware will walk through the Agency Compensation Equalizer and demonstrate what any organization can do to maximize the value of their marketing investment.

Speaker:
Steven Wales, Chief Revenue Officer - Decideware

IV. MEDIA TRANSPARENCY AGREEMENT 2.0 (2:45 – 3:30PM)
Earlier this year, the ANA and Reed Smith LLP released an updated template for media buying agency contracts which can be used by advertisers in developing their own agency agreement. This is an update to the 2016 template and media transparency report. The new template updates the original, which was issued in July 2016 as a supplement to the ANA’s landmark report on media transparency, conducted with K2 Intelligence, and a follow-up report by Ebiquity and FirmDecisions that provided recommendations on achieving media transparency. In this session, we’ll dive into the changes in the agreement and current challenges to media transparency.

Speaker:
Keri Bruce, Partner – Reed Smith LLP

V. THE CONTINUED RISE OF THE IN-HOUSE AGENCY (3:45 – 4:30PM)
Earlier this year the ANA surveyed members about their use of in-house agencies. The results were staggering, with dramatic increases in the presence of in-house agencies, their usage and workload. In this session, we’ll walk through the survey results and share the more interesting data points from the survey.

Speakers:
Bill Duggan, Group Executive VP – ANA
Greg Wright, Senior Director - ANA
