May 2018 Brand Activation Legal Committee meeting, Davis & Gilbert will be presenting.

For the May 17th meeting, Davis & Gilbert will presenting on recent updates regarding: FTC developments, NAD decisions, False advertising litigation and data/privacy. Stuart Friedel, Neal Klausner, Aaron Taylor and Gary Kibel will be presenting.

Stuart Friedel is a partner in the Advertising, Marketing & Promotions; Intellectual Property and Digital Media, Technology & Privacy Practice Groups of Davis & Gilbert.  He represents numerous multinational, national and local advertising agencies, advertisers, direct marketers, telemarketers and infomercial producers in connection with all aspects of advertising, promotions, marketing, direct marketing and telemarketing, as well as national and international companies subject to FDA regulations.

Neal H. Klausner is co-chair of Davis & Gilbert’s Litigation Practice Group. He has extensive experience litigating complex commercial disputes and represents businesses in federal and state courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation and before federal and state regulatory agencies, and has handled cases in more than 15 states. Mr. Klausner is a trained mediator, and the New York Supreme Court has appointed him to facilitate the resolution of numerous complex business disputes. He frequently leads training sessions concerning right of publicity litigation, alternative dispute resolution and attorney-client privilege matters.

Gary A. Kibel is a partner in the Digital Media, Technology & Privacy; Intellectual Property and Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Practice Groups of Davis & Gilbert.  Mr. Kibel regularly counsels clients with respect to new media/advertising law; privacy and data security; and information technology matters. Mr. Kibel advises interactive companies, advertising agencies, media providers and other commercial entities regarding transactions for interactive advertising, behavioral advertising, social media, programmatic media buying, mobile marketing, affiliate marketing, data collection and usage, and other emerging products and services.

Aaron Taylor is a partner in the Advertising, Marketing & Promotions; Entertainment, Media & Sports; Intellectual Property and Digital Media, Technology & Privacy Practice Groups.He has broad experience in a range of intellectual property and media matters, including copyright, trademark, right of publicity and false advertising issues. Specifically, his practice involves counseling clients regarding the development and execution of multimedia advertising campaigns, challenging and defending cases before the National Advertising Division (NAD) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, and assisting clients in other litigation and regulatory proceedings that arise in the advertising/intellectual property arena.
