Brand Activation Legal Committee: September 2018

For September’s meeting, Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s presentation will include a federal regulatory update; a discussion of recent state attorney general activity; Lanham Act false advertising cases, and; a review of recent NAD, ERSP, and CARU cases.  Presenting will be Olivia Clavio and Jonathan Froemel.

Olivia M. Clavio, Associate, in the Indianapolis office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. She focuses her practice on advertising and marketing compliance, trademark, copyright, trade dress, right of publicity, trade secret, social media, and unfair competition issues.

Jonathan P. Froemel, Partner, in the Chicago office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Litigation Departments. Mr. Froemel’s intellectual property practice focuses on trademark prosecution and trademark, copyright and patent litigation, trademark prosecution and licensing. His litigation practice includes general commercial, construction, environmental, and real estate disputes.
