INTRODUCTIONS (10:00-10:15 a.m.)

I.    EU UPDATE FROM THE WFA (10:15-11:00 a.m.)
The Privacy Shield framework for information sharing between the EU and U.S. is under legal challenge and, like the Safe Harbor before it, may not survive. The EU’s GDPR rules go into effect in 2018, with a broader definition of personally identifiable information. Also, the ePrivacy directive could have substantial impacts. Anyone that works on a multinational basis needs to know how these changes will affect them, especially in the Trump era. We will have two experts from the World Federation of Advertisers in Brussels bring you up to speed.

Speakers:
Stephan Loerke
, Managing Director - World Federation of Advertisers (WFA)
Catherine Armitage, Senior Manager, Public Affairs, Digital Governance Exchange – World Federation of Advertisers (WFA)

II.    LABELING, MANDATED DISCLOSURES, AND THE FIRST AMENDMENT (11:00 - 11:45 a.m.)
The court challenges to the San Francisco and Berkeley mandated disclosure ordinances are moving through the courts.  What does this mean for the future of the First Amendment protection for advertising and marketing?

Speaker:
Chris Roblyer
, Senior Managing Counsel, Strategic Marketing – Coca-Cola Company

III.    THE NEW ADMINISTRATION AND CONGRESS (11:45 a.m. -12:15 p.m)
The Trump Administration has an ambitious agenda for the first 100 days, and the question is, with Republican control over Congress, where will the battle lines be drawn? The budget, tax reform, Obamacare repeal, the Cabinet and Supreme Court, and regulatory changes at the FCC are all on the table. ANA’s Dan Jaffe will help provide some insight into tumultuous times in Washington.

Speaker:
Dan Jaffe
, Group Executive Vice President, Government Relations - ANA

LUNCH (12:15-12:45 p.m.)

IV.    TRANSPARENCY - THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS (12:45 – 1:00 p.m.)

Speaker:  Doug Wood, Partner - Reed Smith LLP

V.    METHBOT AND OTHER BOT FRAUD ISSUES (1:00-2:00 p.m.)
In December, WhiteOps shocked the industry by uncovering the biggest ad fraud scheme to date – Methbot.  It is alleged to have scammed $3 to $5 million a day from agencies and brands through false online ad views. How is the industry responding to this and other threats? Michael Tiffany, the CEO and Co-founder of WhiteOps, will explain.  Rachel Thomas of the Trustworthy Accountability Group will provide a description of the ad community response to this challenge as well.

Speaker:
Michael Tiffany
, Co-Founder & CEO – WhiteOps
Rachel Thomas,
