WELCOME, INTRODUCTIONS, AND ANNOUNCEMENTS (10:00 – 10:15 am)

I.   ANA GOVERNMENT RELATIONS AND LEGAL UPDATES (10:15 am – 11:00 pm)

A.     2020 OUTLOOK (10:15 – 10:45 am)
Washington is currently consumed by the dual storylines of impeachment and the Democratic presidential primary. Despite this, there may be oxygen left in the room for action on federal privacy legislation – and possibly more - this year before everyone heads to the campaign trail. Important cases involving advertising also continue to make their way through the courts. Dan Jaffe will discuss.

B.    STATE PRIVACY (10:45 am – 11:00 am)
State legislatures are reconvening for the new year. Post-CCPA, will we see similar privacy legislation in other states? The early signs point to yes. Chris Oswald will break it all down.

Speakers:
Dan Jaffe, Group Executive Vice President, Government Relations, ANA
Chris Oswald, Senior Vice President, Government Relations, ANA

II.    LEONINE FOCUS TUTORIAL (11:00 - 11:20 am)

III.   OPEN DISCUSSION (11:20 am – 12:00 pm)
Companies are grappling with privacy compliance – including how to divide those roles internally and include all relevant departments in the discussion, from IT, legal, and marketing. We’d like to hear from you on your experience.

LUNCH (12:00 – 12:45 pm)

IV.    THE DAA’S NEW CCPA OPT-OUT TOOL (12:45 – 1:15 pm)
In December, the Digital Advertising Alliance announced two tools for California consumers to send request under the CCPA to opt-out of the sale of personal information by some or all of the participating companies. The DAA’s executive director, Lou Mastria, will show what’s involved and how the DAA is assisting in CCPA compliance.

Speaker:
Lou Mastria, CIPP/US, CISSP, Executive Director, Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA)

V.    THE CCPA IS HERE - NOW WHAT? (1:15 - 2:00 pm)
The CCPA is here and now it’s time for the rubber to meet the road. This session will cover the compliance measures that are most relevant to the advertising industry, including how to meet the “do not sell” requirements of the CCPA, and the impact that the CCPA has on sweepstakes and loyalty programs.

Speaker:
Sarah Bruno, Partner, Reed Smith LLP
