It's become a recent tradition for the ANA and WFA to hold yearly, back-to-back meetings of the ANA Media Leadership Committee and WFA Media Forum in New York.

This year, meetings will take place on October 25th for the ANA Media Leadership Committee (see agenda below) and October 26th for the WFA Media Forum at Coty Headquarters in the Empire State Building (350 Fifth Ave). Agenda can be found here. To register for the WFA meeting, please email mknol@ana.net. Members of both organizations are invited/encouraged to attend both meetings. (The WFA is the World Federation of Advertisers and provides a global perspective.)

Following the ANA Media Leadership meeting on October 25th, AT&T Adworks will host a dinner (5:00 to 7:00 pm) at Brasserie Ruhlmann, 45 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10111. Please RSVP for the dinner to Molly Knol (mknol@ana.net).

I. ANA PROGRAMMATIC SURVEY RESULTS (12:45 – 1:10PM)
Molly Knol, Senior Manager, Committees and Conferences will present the results of ANA's recent survey on programmatic buying. The survey provides insight into how ANA members are conducting programmatic initiatives as well as intelligence on how member companies staff their programmatic campaigns and work with agencies.

II. PEARLE VISION: THINKING SMALL TO WIN BIG (1:15 – 2:00PM)
Pearle Vision is one of the largest franchised optical retailers in North America, owned by Luxottica, a leader in premium fashion, luxury and sports eyewear. In this session, Doug Zarkin, VP & CMO of Pearle Vision will share insights from their journey towards reestablishing Pearle Vision as the premier neighborhood eye care provider. In a category where the competition is screaming price and deals, and where small independent doctors are thought to deliver an elevated level of care compared to national brands, Doug's efforts in leading "Thinking Small to Win Big" have propelled Pearle Vision to the top of the category. The campaign has garnered numerous awards including consecutive North American Effies in '15 and '16, 2017 Marketing Team of the Year finalist by the PR Platinum Awards, a 2017 El Sol Award and a short list nomination for a 2017 Clio.

III. PERNOD RICARD: BRINGING AD BUYING IN-HOUSE (2:15 – 3:00PM)
Pernod Ricard is the world's no. 2 in wines and spirits and holds one of the most prestigious brand portfolios in the sector: Absolut Vodka, Chivas Regal, Glenlivet Scotch whiskies, Jameson Irish whiskey, Beefeater gin, Malibu liqueur, and Perrier- Jouët champagnes, among others. In this session, Kathy Medina, Senior Manager of Media at Pernod-Ricard at Pernod-Ricard will share how the organization built up internal expertise to bring more ad-buying and media investment management in-house globally.

IV. THE HERSHEY COMPANY: OMNICHANNEL MEDIA JOURNEY (3:30 – 4:15)
The Hershey Company, headquartered in Hershey, Pa., is a global confectionery leader known for bringing goodness to the world through its chocolate, sweets, mints and other great-tasting snacks. In this session, Charlie Chappell Sr. Marketing Director and Head of Global Integrated Media at The Hershey Company will share insights from Hershey's media journey over the last two years and how the company has transitioned away from a media a strategy that focused almost entirely on TV to a diversified, omnichannel approach.

V. AT&T ADWORKS MEDIA LAB INTERACTIVE TOUR (4:15 – 5:00PM)
In this session, AT&T AdWorks will take Committee members on an interactive tour of their new media lab. The Lab showcases the future of consumer media consumption and how marketers can most efficiently reach their targets across any platforms. AT&T AdWorks has built the Lab around the consumers' life, complete with multi-screen viewing, OTT platforms, and several exciting third party IoT consumer devices. Demos include Smart Devices, Connected Car, OTT, Virtual Reality and more.
