ANA Welcomes Entries for 15th Annual Multicultural Excellence Awards

NEW YORK (May 26, 2015) – The ANA (Association of National Advertisers) is now accepting entries for its annual Multicultural Excellence Awards.

Now in its 15th year, the Multicultural Excellence Awards recognize outstanding multicultural advertising campaigns produced by marketers and their agencies. Winners will be announced at the 2015 ANA Multicultural Marketing & Diversity Conference presented by Time Inc., November 8-10 in Miami Beach, Florida.

Entry criteria
For a campaign to be eligible, it must have appeared between June 2014 and June 2015. Entry is open to ANA member and nonmember companies, or agencies and media companies submitting on behalf of their clients. Winners will be chosen based on the creativity of the campaign and relevancy to the targeted segment. This year’s categories include:

  • African-American
  • Asian
  • Digital Media
  • Hispanic
  • LGBT
  • People with Disabilities
  • Print
  • Radio
  • Total Market

Companies and agencies are encouraged to submit multiple entries within a category or across multiple categories. In addition to agencies, media companies are welcome to submit on behalf of their clients. This year, entrants in all categories can enter the Significant Results category. The Significant Results category winner will be chosen based on demonstration of quantifiable business results. Since we launched in 2001 we have recognized multiple organizations that have raised the industry’s bar in multicultural work."

A portion of the proceeds collected from the awards submission fees fund scholarships for high-potential multicultural students planning to pursue careers in advertising and marketing.

About the Multicultural Excellence Awards
The Multicultural Excellence Awards, initiated by the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) in 2001, recognizes the efforts of marketers and their agencies that have resulted in outstanding multicultural advertising campaigns. The awards are sponsored by ANA's Multicultural Marketing Committee, which was established in 1998 to help ANA members share knowledge and best practices in the area of multicultural marketing. The Multicultural Marketing Awards are open to both members and nonmembers.
