Our Commitment to Safety

The ANA is committed to making the 2022 ANA Nonprofit Federation Winter Conference a safe and valuable event for all attendees. 

To that end, we are working with our host hotel, the Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C., to provide attendees with an environment that is clean and safe, and which maintains social distancing guidelines, including a separate area for registration and appropriately distanced seating and guest flow. Please review the variety of new protocols and elevated practices Marriott has implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

To help stop the spread of COVID-19, the District of Columbia is launching a citywide vaccination entry requirement (VaxDC), which calls for establishments to verify that patrons 12 years and older are vaccinated against COVID-19. On January 15, 2022, per Mayor’s Order 2021-148, the District of Columbia will adopt a citywide vaccination entry requirement that requires COVID-19 vaccination to enter indoor facilities within the city. These facilities include hotel’s meeting space, restaurants, lounges, and fitness center. If you are a guest of the Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C. hotel, you will be asked your vaccination status at check in. Please note: vaccination is not required to check into the hotel, but it is required to utilize the hotel amenities and/or attend your event. If you provide vaccine credentials, you will receive a hotel issued wristband that needs to worn to access the hotel meeting spaces, restaurants, or fitness center. For attendees not staying at the hotel, you can visit their VAX Check Desk in the lobby to present credentials and receive a wristband. Please review the Marriott-issued COVID Vaccine Mandate to prepare for the upcoming event.

If any attendee has symptoms, they will not be able to attend the conference and their registration will be transferred to the virtual experience.

Additionally, at the conference:

  • In accordance with CDC guidelines, mask wearing will be required for vaccinated attendees in the exhibit hall and meeting rooms.
  • We will follow all CDC guidelines (mask wearing, social distancing) and any specific state, local, or hotel mandated guidelines.
  • We will provide masks and hand sanitizer at the event, as well as lanyards to indicate your comfort level to other attendees for social distancing.
  • We will have a room designated for you if you are not feeling well.
