AB InBev, the world’s largest brewer, we are currently undergoing a massive transformation as we embrace a new company strategy, driven by a new commercial leadership team who seek to unleash the potential of our Marketing function in order to unlock unprecedented growth from our portfolio of more than 500 brands around the world.  At the heart of this transformation is our current approach to brand building and execution, which we call the Marketing Pillars of the Growth Excellence program.

The Global Manager, Marketing Capabilities will spearhead the implementation of the Growth Excellence Program within our global headquarters, and its adoption across our 6 geographic zones around the world. The individual in this role will provide key strategic support to all cross-functional areas within marketing, helping to identify & codify new skills, processes, and ways of working. The Global Manager will lead a cross-functional team of internal and external partners in the development and maintenance of the AB InBev approach to brand building, execution, and the training of our teams around the world. The individual will bring this approach to life across our diverse portfolio of brands and markets.

We are looking for an individual who has a strong track record of strategic thinking and also a bias for action, with an ability to drive change management through large-scale, global, complex organizations. 

 Key responsibilities:
  • Owns ongoing management of the Marketing Pillars of the Growth Excellence Program (GEP) as the key liaison to global excellence programs, supporting Zone Marketing VPs in self-evaluation, and supporting CMO audit of program outcomes.
  • Works with subject matter experts across: Media, Sponsorship, Creative, Insights, Innovation, Brand & Category strategy to identify and codify marketing’s business-critical processes & ways of working.
  • Oversees the development of the marketing strategy & execution playbook.
  • Manages key external partners including Capability Agencies & University partners.
  • Supports local marketing teams in the implementation of the excellence program as well as their local execution of the Marketing Academy.
  • Owns execution of Marketing Academy & Capability events & activities (guest speaker series, weekly podcast production, etc.) in Global Headquarters.
  • Liaises with global ABI University team overseeing training delivery & evaluation.
  • Manages Marketing Growth Excellence Routine: ongoing communication to specific points of contact throughout the year, for the implementation of the process, including tracking process delivery & results achievement.
  • Identifies best practices & drives best practice sharing and implementation around the world.
  • Travels to regional marketing team events to support execution of Global Marketing Academy.
  • Champion of company culture, philosophy of brand building, and belief in continuous improvement.
 Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree. MBA, with a focus in marketing, preferred.
  • Passion for brand marketing, and ambition for a marketing career.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Marketing: general brand management, insights, innovation or connections.
  • Pro-active, self-starter, strong stakeholder management – internal & external, global & local.
  • Innovative, good listener, open to change & solutions-oriented.
  • Strong decision-making skills, intellectual curiosity, communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills; ability to drive and manage change.
  • Comfortable in meetings with senior leadership and presenting to chief officers.
  • Comfortable collaborating with diverse geographical teams and markets.
  • Global mindset required; must be open to international travel.
  • Advanced analysis & presentation skills required.
  • Good project management skills; able to coach others.
