The Marketing Training & Development Center is a division within the ANA that delivers marketing training to ANA Members. ANA MT&DC combines the experience of real-world marketers with proprietary industry insights to provide engaging learning that improves marketing efficiency, effectiveness, and ROI.

The ANA MTDC has an extraordinary opportunity for an individual interested in account management and B to B business development. In this role, you will forge relationships with key marketing training stakeholders to help ANA Members utilize their ANA training benefits. The Marketing Training & Development Center is looking for a self-motivated, customer-focused Account Manager to join our successful team. The individual must possess strong written and verbal skills and they must enjoy helping people. The individual needs to be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks accurately and on time. Strong excel skills, work ethic, and ability to prioritize tasks is a must. In addition, the ideal candidate will also share our team values: exceptional customer service, commitment to quality, desire to achieve, supportive collaboration, humor, and making work fun. A background in account management and or sales is a plus.


New York, NY

  • Build and maintain strong member relationships by working assigned regional workshop pipeline
  • Manage workshop opportunities
  • Provide guidance and consultation with members to assess needs and identify the most appropriate workshop content and instructor selection (Heavy training and support is provided)
  • Work with the ANA’s faculty to execute workshops
  • Work to capture the information for contract templates
  • Facilitate debrief conversations with members to identify additional learning needs
  • Update financial projections and other reporting on a monthly basis
  • Update of interaction with members using ANA’s proprietary CRM system
  • Travel to attend workshops up to twice a quarter
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a customer facing role where interactions with the customer were frequent, if not daily
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications with an aptitude for learning data and/or CMS systems
  • Marketing knowledge and/or familiarity with training is a plus but not required
Attributes/Skills Required:
  • Superb writing and verbal skills
  • Consultative sales experience is a plus but not required
  • Attention to detail and being organized
  • The ideal candidate will have experience providing customer service for a complex suite of products and solutions
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and balancing the needs of multiple projects at once
  • Ability to “connect dots” and associate one idea with another to see the "big picture”
  • Exercising judgment to determine when to take the initiative and when to seek help
  • Taking pride in the successful completion of a project
