Website Content Manager (Contract to Full-time)

Overarching Responsibilities:

Lead content maintenance of to ensure all content is current, well written, and free of grammatical errors, and broken links. Serve as the point person and liaison between MarComm and all other ANA business lines to “police” and maintain the website on a daily basis. The individual’s number one responsibility is to ensure that website content is accurate and of the highest editorial quality. The position requires a willingness to quickly understand the ANA, its products and services, and how they interact. This individual will also partner with IT to continually improve the user experience.

The individual must have solid project management experience and strong writing skills. Further, to be successful, this individual must be able to work under tight deadlines and partner effectively across the organization with a focus on delivering superior service.

Candidates must be able to work both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and be able to effectively multi-task to execute flawlessly in a fast-paced environment.

The new team member will be part of a dynamic and growing marketing group, and will work closely with web content managers, ANA business line managers, and other staff to communicate ANA’s growing portfolio of products and services.

The Individual Must:
  • Understand the ANA’s business and its business priorities to effectively monitor and promote throughout the site
  • Work in unison with the web content team to ensure all website messaging is current and of the highest quality
  • Establish a process for monitoring and updating the Home Page and channel pages daily, or as needed. Monitor the entire site for old content, broken links, inconsistent language, and grammatical errors.
  • Develop a quality-control process for posting content to in conjunction with all business lines. Apply the ANA editorial style guide to all website content.
  • Work with business lines to ensure messages are being uniformly and consistently communicated across the website
  • In conjunction with the Content Manager, meet monthly with each business line to explain priorities and to determine content needs
  • Meet monthly with the Digital Manager to discuss website metrics, learn what content is trending, and how best to leverage and promote that content to members across channels
  • Assist with the creation and launch of landing pages as needed
  • Learn and utilize software to ensure the quality of the website is continually improving
  • BA in English, Communications or related field a must
  • 2 or more years of experience creating and posting website content and imagery
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Solid project management skills
